The appointed editor and managing author is Nicholas
Chantler who has a total of over 25 years combined military service. Dr Chantler is an academic at QUT (Queensland University of Technology). He has
presented and published many papers in the area of Intelligence and

Nicholas Chantler has several years experience as an editor in reviewing
formal papers and books for publication. Some of his colleagues also provide
a valuable resource having been publishers, managing editors and authors for
the world's major book companies.
The role of the editor is somewhat similar to a project manager. Some of
the things they are responsible for are to:
- provide a focal point for the project,
- maintain an overview of the project;
- collate and review submissions;
- edit, confirm and re-write;
- present final documents;
- attend meetings;
- provide reports;
- liaise with publishers and printers;
- maintain information management practices;
- apply writing standards;
- provide support and guidance to authors;
- receive submissions; and,
- assist with research.
